Built over a period of 40 years, the Ave Maria Grotto showcases 125 miniature reproductions of famous churches, shrines and buildings from around the world. The grotto features Brother Joseph Zoettle's re-creations of structures such as St. Peters Cathedral, the Colosseum and famous edifices of the Holy Land. Four acres of land at the St. Bernard Abbey, Alabama’s only Benedictine Abbey, house the pieces.
Open daily Apr - Sep: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Oct - Mar: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $7; Seniors $5; Children (6-12) $4.50; Children under 6 are free.
